This old photo is of Elder and Sister Beulie. They were frequent guests at our Jersey City home. There is a photo of Sister Beulie holding James in one of the outdoor photos. In another photo, the Beulies are standing next to my father who is holding James.

The Beulies are standing in front of a church which has the name Bishop P.J.P. Bridgers at the bottom of the order of worship sign. Bishop Bridgers was General Treasurer and Bishop of the Eastern Diocese of the Church of God in Christ Jesus (Apostolic). This church was (is?) located at 343 Hancock Street in Brooklyn, New York.

During this time the Rehoboth Beacon (October, 1946), the official publication of the Church of God in Christ Jesus (Apostolic), lists my father as the Overseer of the state of Maryland.
