Oh for the great outdoors. These photos show the Barrett family of the '50s to mid '60s in Jersey City street scenes unless otherwise noted.

The majority of these outdoor photos were taken in the park. My parents took us to two different parks while we lived in Jersey City -- Westside Park and Roosevelt Park which is in Edison, New Jersey.

(Now known as Lincoln Park, it was originally known as West Side Park - 1905 - 1930).

I remember that when we were older, my father drove us to Roosevelt Park. I am not sure if he took us there while we were toddlers too.
